I'm going use this blog post as a review for my new Kraze FX black and white face paints, and give a quick tutorial about swirls and teardrops. In this photo I've painted different teardrops with different sized brushes.For those crisp and nice teardrops, we have to have our paint well activated.What does that mean?
We want our paint to be thick and creamy. So take your time to activate your paint. Kraze FX whiteis easy to activate, so that's my first plus for this brand. If you take a closer look at first picture, on the left side, those smaller teardrops are not vibrant, but they are transparent in the middle, and have too much paint at the edges. That means the paint was to "wet" - not thick enough so not well activated.
When we load our brush properly this is what we get - even color,smooth edges and a thin, pointy end.This teardrop was painted with Prima barton round brush No8 and this time I've painted from thick to thin, by pressing the brush, and then pulling it, turning, and lifting a little to get a thin end.
Now that we've covered the most important aspect - loading and activating the paint, I wanted to show you how we can paint teardrops with different kinds of brushes. We have round No8, filbert brush,dagger brush,round No3,round No2,round No1.
Now let's go with Kraze FX black paint. Swirls are a great and fast way to make your design more special. I love to have a little "pond" where my activated paint is, so it is easy and fast to pick up color. With swirls, it is important that we have a thin to thick, to thin line.
In this photo pay attention to two things. My brush is perpendicular to my hand,and I'm leaning with my pinkie finger on my hand, or any other surface to have more control over the lines and swirls.
Kraze FX black has great coverage, and dries fast, which is important. It is really easy to activate and one load goes long way. Definitely my new favorite black!
So,I can gladly recommend this black and white as new must haves!
